XTi PULSE Lighting

XTi PULSE lighting is designed to enhance your performance and recovery through tailored light recipes. Learn how to use it effectively below.

Using XTi PULSE Sleep/Recover

  • The XTi PULSE Sleep/Recover light comes preset at an optimal intensity for use. The target distance for use of the light is 3-6 feet to optimize benefits (The XTi PULSE+ light allows the user to personally adjust light intensity for different distances). If 3-6 feet is not comfortable for you, feel free to adjust the distance slightly, understanding that the benefits of the light may be limited.
  • You do NOT have to stare or focus on the light. The light just needs to be in a location where it can reach your eyes. The light can be used alongside normal daily activities if it is placed in the user’s peripheral vision. The light can be used while watching tv, using a cell phone, reading a book, playing video games, or cooking.
  • Do NOT place the light above you, behind you, or behind another object. The light needs to be able to reach your eyes directly without interference. XTi PULSE lights are not like other lights used simply for vision or room ambience.
  • The XTi PULSE Sleep/Recover needs to be used BEFORE going to bed. This is because XTi lighting works through the retina of the eye. If the light is only used when in bed and going to sleep, the effect will be minimal (eyes are closed). The light can be left on all night long, as it may help you return to sleep after waking up at night.
  • Try to use the XTi PULSE Sleep/Recover for a minimum of 45 minutes daily for sleep/recovery benefits, but there is NO upper limit to use time. Using the light for longer periods of time will generally result in improved results.
  • Most people use the XTi PULSE Sleep/Recover for improved sleep and relaxation in the evening and at night, but the sleep/recover light can be used at any time of day for injury recovery, stress, anxiety, etc.
  • Use the XTi PULSE Sleep/Recover recipe as much as needed to obtain the results you are looking for.
  • For those with non-traditional work schedules, use the XTi PULSE Sleep/Recover recipe prior to going to bed (even if that is during daylight hours) in order to maximize your sleep, recovery and overall health.

Using XTi PULSE Performance

  • The XTi PULSE Performance light comes preset at an optimal intensity for use. The target distance for use of the light is 3-6 feet to optimize benefits (The XTi PULSE+ light allows the user to personally adjust light intensity for different distances). If 3-6 feet is not comfortable for you, feel free to adjust the distance slightly, understanding that the benefits of the light may be limited.
  • You do NOT have to stare or focus on the light. The light just needs to be in a location where it can reach your eyes. The light can be used alongside normal daily activities if it is placed in the user’s peripheral vision. The light can be used while working, exercising, watching tv, using your phone, reading a book, playing video games, cooking, etc.
  • Do NOT place the light above you, behind you, or behind another object. The light needs to be able to reach your eyes directly without interference. XTi PULSE lights are not like other lights used simply for vision or room ambience.
  • The XTi PULSE Performance can be used at any time during the day. It can be used while working at your desk, doing chores around the house, exercising at home or at the gym, etc.
  • Use the XTi PULSE Performance recipe anytime of the day to achieve performance benefits. There is NO upper limit to use time. Using the light for longer periods of time will generally result in improved results.
  • Try NOT to use the XTi PULSE Performance for 1 hour prior to going to sleep. You may have more difficulty falling asleep.
  • Most people use the XTi PULSE Performance for improved focus/concentration at work or during exercise, BUT the XTi PULSE Performance can be used at any time of day for increased energy, focus, concentration, task management, etc.
  • Use the XTi PULSE Performance recipe as much as needed to obtain the results you are looking for.
  • For those with non-traditional work schedules, use the XTi PULSE Performance during your waking hours when you need to be able to focus, concentrate, and perform your best.

Using XTi PULSE Sleep/Recover and XTi PULSE Performance Together

  • Using both the XTi PULSE Sleep/Recover & the XTi PULSE Performance lights during the same 24hr day generally results in better performance and sleep/recovery.
  • Typical use of both lights would be:
    • Use of XTi PULSE Performance light upon awakening, while working, during exercise.
    • Change to XTi PULSE Sleep/Recovery light in the evening while watching tv, reading, etc., prior to going to bed.
    • Light use may be different for night shift workers or others with atypical schedules.
    • Feel free to use both lights as needed to achieve desired results.
  • Note: The XTi PULSE+ light has both the sleep/recovery & the performance recipe on the same light, allowing users to change recipes with their cell phone.
